The pristine harbour baths in the Limfjord
The Danes love a good harbour swimming bath! Aalborg’s newly refurbished Vestre Fjordpark is an outdoor swimming spot located close to the city centre, but it feels a world away. From here you can swim, kayak or sail in the beautiful clean waters of the Limfjord or just relax on the popular wooden swimming platforms.

Utzon Center
Experience architecture, design and art at the Utzon Center in Aalborg. The center was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon, who grew up in Aalborg, and is architecturally inspired by the beautiful waterfront in Aalborg. In addition to many changing exhibitions, you can also experience the beautiful Spidsgatterbåd at the center. Utzon Center also has an exciting and modern smørrebrød restaurant with a view of the Limfjord and Aalborg waterfront.

The dramatic House of Music
Another dramatic building vying for your love and attention on Aalborg’s waterfront is the House of Music, Musikkens Hus. This eye-catching silver icon is a meeting place for music professionals and music lovers. Amongst other things it’s the home of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and a concert venue for international and Danish artists.

Leos Legeland
For children and childlike souls, Leos Legeland with its 4,500 square meters is worth a visit. There is something for everyone here: climbing frames, ball pits, trampolines, bicycles, tunnels, ball cannons, slides and much more. In addition to playing, it is also possible to relax and eat in the play area.

Street food in an old furniture factory
No trip to Aalborg is complete without a cheap bite to eat with Danes in an old furniture factory. That’s the venue for Aalborg’s first permanent street food market; the popular local hangout, known as The Lighthouse. Head here to try food from around the world and to soak up the local atmosphere.

Aalborg Zoo
At Aalborg Zoo you can experience over 140 different animal species. Aalborg Zoo is the only place in Denmark where you can see one of the world's largest animals, the African elephant. You can also meet the large orangutan, not forgetting the polar bears in their large polar bear enclosure. The zoo also has a large outdoor enclosure for their tigers and lions. In Aalborg Zoo you will also find a large play area, which includes a natural playground and barbecue areas. There are also cafes and kiosks in the garden, where you can buy food, etc.

Gråbrødrekloster Museum
The Gråbrødrekloster Museum is an underground museum located under the pedestrian street Algade in the middle of Aalborg. Outside Salling's entrance towards Algade you can take the elevator down and visit the museum, where you can see the remains of the old monastery as well as skeletons and Viking finds. The museum talks about the Grey Friars Monastery, which was established around 1250, through the many ruins from the monastery.
